PLANO, TX - June 13, 2014 – On June 12, Falyn Traina — Miss Texas Teen America 2014 — brought joy to about a dozen patients currently under the care of Silverado Hospice in Dallas by making blankets for each patient as part of her community outreach efforts. Traina visited Silverado Memory Care Community in Plano to meet some of the patients, and also brought smiles to the faces of many of the residents of the memory care community. She chose to donate her time to Silverado Hospice patients because of an annual tradition in which her family makes and delivers blankets for the elderly. The Miss Teen America Scholarship program aims to inspire and motive young woman to become global citizens defined by character and integrity by encouraging higher education and community service.
