Quest ECHS students teamed up with Silverado Kingwood – for a unique education experience that takes them out of the classroom and into the real world. Through a service learning program, ECHS students have the opportunity to select a volunteer organization that speaks to their personal interests – and a number of the students choose to volunteer with Silverado.

Every Friday ECHS students visited Silverado Kingwood to chat, enjoy snacks, and bond with our residents. Erika Gonzalez, a service learning student, shared, “I had never worked with anyone with Alzheimer’s or memory loss before…It changed my life. All of this experience helped me to find my passion which is going to work for a senior living residence and those affected by memory loss. I am so thankful for this opportunity.”

Silverado Kingwood’s unique partnership with Quest ECHS was recently featured in the Your Houston News.  Read the full article here.
