Giving recognition to those who have served

Silverado Hospice recognizes both the importance of an individual's service and that it be properly recognized. Thanks to many of the regular programs hosted by individual hospice branches and our partnership with We Honor Veterans, we serve the needs of veterans year-round. Certain times of year, however, require an extra level of recognition.

Every Memorial Day Silverado Hospice branches take extra steps to show how truly important veterans and their contributions are. These are just a few of the special efforts made by Silverado hospice this Memorial Day:

  • Homemade cookie bouquets, baked by Silverado Dallas/Fort Worth Hospice's volunteer coordinator and delivered to all veterans under their care.
  • Handmade scarves with the emblems of the four major branches of service were made by a Silverado Hospice Los Angeles volunteer, then placed in special gift baskets and delivered to all their veteran patients.
