Every week the Silverado Escondido Service Club makes homemade jam.  Our residents start by picking the freshest strawberries right off the vine. We spend the morning collecting buckets to use for our tasty jam, and of course plenty for us to sample!

Our residents then take the berries home and wash, cut, and cook them to the perfect consistency before the canning process takes place. With the help of our Culinary Director, Pat, our residents finish the canning process and the jams are now ready to be shared with the world! We then package it up and use it as gifts for local homeless shelters, families visiting, and many others!
