Silverado Resident Plays a Game of Golf
Meet Buster Creagh, a local golf pro and a resident at Silverado Valley Ranch. Buster is a colorful character whose great sense of humor is a favorite with fellow residents, associates and his daughter and son-in-law, Shelley and Dean Anthony,
Buster began his long and esteemed golf career at the age of six as a caddy at the Breckenridge Country Club in Breckenridge, Texas. In the 1960s he worked as a golf pro at the Denton Country Club , where he rejuvenated the nine holes at the club and created a new back nine. The next stop for Buster was the Sherrill Park Golf Course in Richardson, Texas, where he once again shared his expertise. Starting in 1989, Buster built the Bluebonnet Hill Golf Course outside of Austin, Texas. Whether building golf courses or teaching golfers, Buster loves to share his passion for the game. As Shelley said, “Buster is eager to help anyone get into golf.”
Recently Buster went on an outing to the driving range with Shelley and Paul Vickers, Plant Operations Assistant at Silverado Valley Ranch. This was Paul’s first time golfing, and Buster was happy to have a new student to teach.
After a few pointers from the seasoned vet, Paul showed a huge improvement. Though he hit a few into the trees, one shot went 250 yards and earned the praise “Good shot!” from his teacher. “Next time I go, I will have to dress like a golfer", Paul shares.
