VIDEO: Love Lives Here

Location : Home Office

In 2002 Dr. Cathy Greenblat decided to retire from her position at Rutgers University early to focus on photography-based sociology projects. Having walked the path of Alzheimer's with her mother and grandparents, the last thing she wanted to do in her new pursuit was document memory care. That all changed when a good friend convinced her to visit a Silverado community one Saturday morning.

Since she was first acquainted with Silverado more than a decade ago, Dr. Greenblat has been independently documenting Silverado's unique style of care through her inspiring photos and writing. Love Lives Here is a touching documentary she produced about the Silverado experience as seen by residents, families and partners as well as a range of Silverado associates who share the responsibilities of enriching lives.
