Calabasas Mayor Fred Gaines Attends Special Vow Renewal Ceremony
By Joie Fong, Silverado
Our Silverado memory care community in Calabasas, California recently held a beautiful vow renewal ceremony to celebrate the love of our residents, associates and their families. With wedding officiant Jonathan Mulford presiding over the formal ceremony, two resident couples (and even one of our very own Silverado associates) renewed their wedding vows. It was quite a memorable day!
The traditional ceremony was followed by a beautiful outdoor reception in the community’s courtyard. Associates transformed the space into an elegant reception area, beautifully decorated with white linen tables and elaborate floral centerpieces. Each bride also had her own personalized bouquet and took part in a bouquet toss.
Calabasas Mayor Fred Gaines and his wife attended the ceremony and reception, enjoying the company of residents and their families throughout the evening.
At the end of the night, each couple exchanged a red and white rose in a heart-shaped glass – a symbol of eternal love. I couldn’t help but notice that the passionate and beautiful love that resonates at Silverado was evident throughout the event. Family Ambassador Michael Duran said it best when she shared, “Love was everywhere, from our residents to associates. It was a unique opportunity we gave families who originally never thought of renewing their vows.”
We hope that moments like this leave a lasting impact on families for many years to come!
