Love and Dementia

Don And Rose

Don moved into Silverado 8 months ago and his wife Rose had to go back home. Their children came to us a few weeks ago now and said that the need to move their mother Rose into Silverado has arrived.  On December 14th Rose joined us and her husband Don at Silverado.  Rose was getting introduced to her room when some associates brought Don in.  His reaction to seeing her was breathtaking.  He saw his wife and began to clap his hands while a ear to ear smile came across his face.  Don then said "That's my best girl right there".  So no matter where people are on their journey with Dementia, this is just a testament that true love is everlasting.  A footprint on the brain that is never erased.
