Nursing Students Visit Silverado Onion Creek
Recently, Silverado Onion Creek welcomed into the community a group of 13 Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) students from Skillpoint Alliance. These local students received valuable information and mentoring from Silverado leadership, including the community's Director of Health Services and Business Office Manager. Through a full tour of the community, these students were able to see firsthand the world-class memory care that Silverado provides and the purposeful quality of life that is created. The students were impressed with the community as well as their overall learning experience, and each one took home an application for Silverado employment with the potential to one-day return as a part of the Silverado family. This meeting is a great example of how Silverado is sharing its philosophies with the next generation of leaders, providing these students with knowledge and standards on how to care for individuals with dementia. The hope is that the students will take these lessons wherever their nursing careers lead them in the future.
