Points of Interest In Our Hometown

Silverado Fort Worth is located in the 16th-largest city in the US and the fifth-largest city in the state of Texas. Our historical city is considered to be a cultural gateway into the American West. The city was established in 1849 as an Army outpost on a bluff overlooking the Trinity River. Today Fort Worth still embraces its Western heritage, like the famous Fort Worth Stockyards and real-life cowboys, and the annual cattle drive down Main Street.

Three of the top rated museums in the US are nearby. The Kimbell Art Museum is considered to have one of the best collections in the world, and housed in what is widely regarded as one of the world's foremost works of modern architecture. The Amon Carter Museum houses one of the most extensive collections of American art in the world, in a building designed by Philip Johnson. Also of note, is the Modern Art Museum of Fort Worth.

If going to the theater is your passion – you don’t have to be in The Big Apple to see a Broadway show. Sundance Square, the heart of downtown Fort Worth, is home to Bass Performance Hall and Casa Manana – the premier venues for performance arts in the Lone Star State. If you are an outdoor entertainment enthusiast, spend some time at Sundance Square Plaza – a new, multi-purpose stage and pavilion built to host large and small concerts, movies and more. The beautiful, ever-changing water features and landscape will truly captivate you!

Travel to and from Fort Worth is made easy with various modes of transportation. If you are local and want to get across town in a hurry, hop on The T – Fort Worth’s premier bus service, or enjoy an exciting ride on the Trinity Railway Express – rail transportation into Dallas. If you like the fast-track, Amtrak can get you where you want to go in a hurry. If you like to soar with the eagles, board a plane at DFW Airport. Or, if you prefer to go at your own pace and see nature up close and personal – join us for a jog or walk on the Heritage Trails.
