Being a Dog's Hero

Here at Silverado, our residents love to give back to the community.  We love to watch our residents change the world because we know they have surely changed ours.  That is why we have purpose-driven and engaging activities to keep them busy during the day, and it turns out that it is just as rewarding to our staff and residents as it is to our community.  Our most recent mission was to make homemade dog treats that we could take to the dog shelters and teach the dogs not to bark when people walk by, which increases their chances of getting adopted.  Our pet ambassador, Emma, approves of this most rewarding and ongoing activity that our residents at Silverado love to do!

"Do what you can to show you care about other people, and you will make our world a better place." -Rosalynn Carter
