On a day when we typically celebrate the things we have to be thankful for, a group of Silverado Valley Ranch residents and associates decided to add giving to their day of Thanksgiving. Bearing gifts of holiday fixings and a bottle of wine, our group of givers enjoyed the thrill of sharing with others.
The group visited the Union Gospel Mission to donate traditional Thanksgiving foods, such as turkey, stuffing and gravy. The Union Gospel Mission provides the following to the men, women and children who stay overnight: shelter, meals, chapel services, showers, on-site clinics and clothing. The mission’s goal is to restore these destitute individuals of our community to a productive life.
