Southlake BubbleLife, Southlake, IL, October 8, 2015 - Silverado Southlake celebrated the first week of autumn by inviting guests and local girl scouts to the commmuinity for a day of gardening and education.

"Girl Scouts from Troops 4015, 4048 and 4050 showed off their green thumbs at the Silverado Memory Care Community's renewal garden planting event in September. The girls learned about herbs that are used in the residents’ cooking, plants that attract hummingbirds and butterflies, and seasonal vegetables that the residents also get to enjoy.  The girls planted lots of flowers, watered the gardens, and harvested vegetables for the residents.  They even helped make hats for the residents to wear when they are outside!"
